- I lived
in the San Francisco Bay Area from 1973-77, becoming active in local contest and
DX clubs.

Relocated to Munich in 1977, receiving my present call DJØQN
- In the meantime, I have also held the calls N6FAR and W7CF
- I also hold the calls K7DX, DM6T, DMØQN, DN1QN and MØMUC
- I held the position of DARC Secretary International Affairs (Auslandsreferent) from March until October 2009
- I
was a member of the DARC Executive Board (Vorstand) from October 2009 until
November 2011
- Among my interests over the past years:
Mobile DXCC (also in W6)
Setting-up one of the first Packet Radio stations in Germany. I also imported over 300 of the first TNC's from the U.S. before they began producing them in Germany.
I set-up one of the first IRLP nodes in Germany
I participate in giving U.S. FCC exams through the ARRL VEC program. As of June 2010, I have tested 230 people.
